Lauren Walsh misses cut at Augusta National Women's Amateur
Kildare golfer Lauren Walsh saw her chances of being involved in the final round of the Augusta National Women's Amateur ended by a couple of late dropped shots.
Walsh ended her rain-delayed second round with a 75 to sit on seven over par, with the four players on six over involved in a play-off for the last remaining Saturday spot. Germany's Paula Schulz-Hanssen eventually booked her place.
Walsh was inside the cut line as she approached the 15th hole but back-to-back bogeys and two closing pars meant that the tournament came to an end for the 21-year-old.
Despite carding a second-round 76 at the famous course, Italian Benedetta Moresco leads the way on two over. Seven players are a shot back heading into the final round.
