Lauren Jackson announces comeback with Albury Wodonga Bandits

Australia's greatest female basketballer Lauren Jackson is poised to return to the courts where her career began after signing with the Albury Wodonga Bandits.

The 40-year-old, who retired from the sport in 2016, is set to play in the inaugural NBL1 East competition after the historic signing.

«Basketball had taken a huge toll on me emotionally, whereas now, I'm a different person.

Jackson has spoken openly about the use of medicinal cannabis during her recovery and is currently seeking a therapeutic use exemption.
