Last 48 hours: Fabrizio Romano shares teasing 7-word transfer update for West Ham supporters

Fabrizio Romano has in the last 48 hours shared a teasing seven-word transfer update for West Ham United supporters involving Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

The Albania international is thought to be a priority Premier League target for manager David Moyes this summer, so much so that it is believed both West Ham and Broja have even agreed personal terms.

Reports have suggested that talks are advancing even if both the Hammers and Chelsea have not quite reached a full agreement so far (Ben Jacobs).

Despite these claims, Thomas Tuchel stated to the media on Tuesday night that he doesn’t expect the 20-year-old to depart Stamford Bridge this summer – a potentially worrying message amid Moyes’ search for a centre-forward.

Regardless of Tuchel’s admission, reliable journalist Romano has now shared a teasing seven-word update for Irons supporters as he gifts hope over the transfer.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday evening, the big name transfer reporter claimed that ‘negotiations with West Ham are still on’ after Chelsea’s boss attempted to extinguish reports – seemingly handing the east Londoners a lifeline.

News of a West Ham deal being still alive even after Tuchel’s message comes as some good news for both Moyes and supporters.

Broja would gift the club further options in the forward areas and may even provide them with a real target man given the starlet stands at a towering 6 foot 3.

Still very young and with bags of potential, the forward has even been called ‘devastating‘ by Albania assistant coach Sergio Porrini.

Landing Broja as West Ham’s next major signing would be a fine way to end the club’s long and drawn out search for a new striker.
