Lanes reopen after Christmas Day crash on M62
Three lanes were closed on the M62 due to a crash near Manchester on Christmas Day (December 25). The lanes were shut on the eastbound carriageway between Junction 11 (Birchwood) and Junction 12 (Eccles Interchange).
The lane closures were first reported at around 10.20pm. The road reopened at around 12.30am on Boxing Day.
Inrix, the traffic data company, said: "All lanes open, recovery work completed and earlier accident on M62 Eastbound from J11 A574 Birchwood Way (Birchwood) to J12 M60 J12 (Eccles Interchange). Lanes one, two and three (of four) are closed."

Inrix, the traffic data company, said:

Lanes one, two and three (of four) are closed."
The eastbound carriageway has three lanes closed as a result of the incident. This is affecting traffic heading into Greater Manchester.
Recovery is now underway on the M62.

Traffic England is currently expecting the incident to clear and lanes to reopen between 12.30am and 12.45am on Boxing Day. This is subject to change.
Three lanes are shut on the M62 tonight. Traffic heading into Greater Manchester is affected.
