Lando Norris looking forward to working with Oscar Piastri
Lando Norris says he does not know Oscar Piastri very well but he is looking forward to working with the Aussie at McLaren.
The FIA’s CRB met last week and revealed their decision over Piastri’s future, with Alpine and McLaren believing they both had contracts that stated the Aussie would drive for them in 2023.
Ultimately, the decision fell in McLaren’s favour and they were swift to confirm that he’d be partnering Lando Norris for next season, in what is an exciting-looking driver pairing.
That in mind, then, many have obviously been eager to hear what Lando thinks of his new team-mate for next year and he says he is looking forward to working with Piastri, though he does not expect much to change for him within the team:
“I don’t think it’s a big change honestly.
“I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing, I’m confident, I’m happy in the place I am.
“I look forward to working with someone new, it’s different, you have to talk in a different and understand each other differently.
“It’s also going to be a big challenge for me, a new challenge for me and the whole team. We look forward to it.
“I don’t actually know Oscar too well, I’ve only spoken to him twice ever, I would say. But he’s obviously a good talent, a good driver and I look forward to that. But that’s still half a year away.”
