Formula 1: Nico Rosberg's stark Lando Norris warning for Oscar Piastri

Oscar Piastri risks falling out of Formula 1 if he cannot compete with Lando Norris at McLaren, claims 2016 world champion Nico Rosberg.

Piastri is going to have quite the spotlight on him next year as he joins McLaren after leaving Alpine’s driver programme, with the Woking-based team going to some effort to bring him in alongside Norris, to replace Daniel Ricciardo.

“It’s a brave move by Oscar, it really is,” Rosberg said to Sky Sports.

“It is either he beats Lando or he’s out basically of the sport, so it’s really, really tough, but he believes in himself. And if you think you’re that good, you’ve got to go for it.”

Even if Piastri does end up losing out
