Lamar Jackson: Baltimore Ravens QB dazzles with stunning touchdown throw v Jets

Lamar Jackson showed exactly why he felt he should be paid the big money with a touchdown for the Baltimore Ravens against the New York Jets.

Despite having all of the offseason and preseason to work out a new deal, the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson were unable to come to an agreement on how they wanted to move forward as a partnership, despite everything that Jackson has done for them.

Having put up 13,640 yards total yards both through the air and with his legs and providing a total of 106 touchdowns since making his debut in 2018, the 2019 NFL MVP Jackson has more or less single-handedly changed the way the Ravens’ offense is run with his duel-threat abilities.

It was announced this week that despite Jackson’s demands to sign a new contract before Week 1 of the regular season, he enters the year without a contract beyond the end of the 2022 season, meaning that a severe injury this season could cause him major problems in the future both financially and in terms of his playing career if he doesn’t have the security next summer.

But it looks as if he’s been able to put those financial questions behind him and focus on what is happening on the gridiron as he continued to carve open the New York Jets defence, doing so with a little bit of flash and skill in the process.

No look Lamar

The Ravens have torn the Jets to shreds all afternoon by the Ravens, and that continued in the third quarter with an exquisite pass from Jackson to Devin Duvernay, but this wasn’t just any normal touchdown, he appeared to do it despite not looking in his direction when he threw it:
