Lakay, Coetzee named in Bafana preliminary squad for France, Guinea friendlies
Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has named a 29-man preliminary squad for the upcoming international friendly matches against Guinea and France.
The senior men's national team will face Guinea, instead of Zambia, as previously stated, in Belgium on Friday, 25 March.
Meanwhile, four days later on Tuesday, 29 March, Bafana Bafana will face world champions France in Lille.
According to SAFA's official website, the squad is expected to assemble a day before departure and then travel to Paris on Monday, 21 March.
Lyle Lakay, who has been a star performer for Mamelodi Sundowns, has finally been called-up to the national team.
Bafana Bafana fans have gone crazy on social media, calling on Broos to give the left-back a chance in national colours.
Meanwhile, Lakay's Sundowns team-mate Rivaldo Coetzee was another notable name on the list that will be cut down in size before they travel to France.
The final squad will be announced in due course.
