Kyogo dismisses Celtic transfer exit talk amid Crystal Palace noise as striker sets goal Parkhead target

Kyogo Furuhashi has handed Celtic a huge pre-match boost ahead of the Viaplay Cup Final by insisting he isn't interested in a megabucks move to Crystal Palace or anywhere else.

And the Japanese talisman has stressed that his only thought is to help Ange Postecoglou's side be as successful as possible. The 28-year-old has been in outstanding form for Celtic this season and has netted 22 goals in 36 appearances. He was linked with a big money move to the English Premier League with Palace reported to be leading the chase. But Kyogo is happy at Celtic.

He said: "I want to be as successful as possible with this club. My focus is only on Celtic to be able to have the most possible success for the club, As a team, we want to win as many titles as possible with Celtic. As my personal goal, I would like to score 30 goals this season.

“But of course, I don't know what will happen in the future. So I just want to score as many goals as possible and contribute to the team's victory."

And Furuhashi, in an interview in Germany, revealed how he reckons he's not even close to his peak and how his teammates helped him get over his World Cup heartache after he was surprisingly snubbed for the Qatar Finals in November. He said: "Obviously I'm not a great player, so I still need to keep working on my game and improving.

"My positional play, for example, or the timing when I offer myself for a pass, or that I will be even more varied in my finishing. I keep working on those things in training so that I can implement all of these processes in the game in the best possible way.
