Kym Marsh flooded with support as she sends heartbreaking message after welcoming new family addition

Kym Marsh has been flooded with support after she shared a heartbreaking message as she reflected on her recent loss. The Waterloo Road star and Morning Live presenter's family issued a statement last month confirming the death of her dad, David Marsh.

Dave's death came aged 78, after he shared his prostrate cancer journey. Kym's beloved dad made multiple appearances with his daughter and doting wife Pauline on BBC show Morning Live as he wanted to make others aware of the symptoms and to seek medical help following his own prostate cancer diagnosis in 2021.

Later, in November 2023, Kym, 47, said they were living "day by day" as her father’s cancer had spread into his bones. The former Coronation Street star and her family then confirmed on January 12 confirming Dave's death before later laying him to rest in a private funeral.

She appeared on Morning Live to discuss the news that families in England who've experienced the loss of a baby before 24 weeks of pregnancy will now be able to apply for a certificate to formally recognise their child existed, like Kym who suffered the tragic loss of her own son, Archie.

She also headed back to the set of Waterloo Road where filming continues for the next series of the rebooted school-based show. But over the weekend, Kym was reflecting on her sad loss.

She posted a sweet picture of herself and Dave to Instagram and said: "Oh daddy I miss you so much," alongside a string of broken heart
