Kylian Mbappe's mother fiercely addresses Real Madrid transfer claims amid PSG decision

Kylian Mbappe's mother Fayza Lamari has strongly denied the claim that her son had any kind of pre-contractual agreement in place with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

After nearly a year's worth of speculation surrounding the forward's future, Mbappe has reportedly opted to remain at Paris Saint-Germain and will soon announce the fact he has penned a new three-year deal with the Ligue 1 champions. The news will come as a huge blow to Real Madrid, who were incredibly confident they would secure his signature in the summer and have a new 'Galactico' signing within their ranks.

Responding to a comment made by French sports journalist Frederic Hermel on Twitter (via GFFN ), Mbappe's mother quashed talk that the 23-year-old had agreed personal terms with Los Blancos. "Mr. Hermel, when we don’t know, we shut up. We never had an agreement (with Real Madrid)."

Her comments seem to contradict previous remarks Lamari made surrounding her son's future. Just last week Mbappe's mother told Kora Plus: "We have an agreement with both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. Kylian will now decide. The two offers from PSG and Real Madrid are almost identical. It’s up to Kylian now."

Earlier on this month, Mbappe admitted a decision on his future "will be known very soon, it’s almost done. My decision is made, yes, almost." PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino added further mystery to the situation by keeping his cards close to his chest when asked about his player's future.
