Kylian Mbappe in Real Madrid transfer next step as cryptic PSG exit tease proves prophetic

Kylian Mbappe has taken a big step towards his PSG exit by agreeing personal terms for a transfer to Real Madrid.

The French international watched a move to the La Liga champions fall away last summer and is now set to let his contract expire.

Paperwork hasn't been signed and sealed yet, but according to the Athletic, he's agreed to a potential move to Spain.

Real have been confident of landing the 23-year-old as his contract length in Paris ticked down. They now wait for his signature, which they believe will come once the season is over.

Mbappe has scored 116 goals in 141 games for PSG after joining from Monaco in 2017.

He's also won the World Cup with France and established himself as one of the best players on the planet.

Named the Ligue 1 player of the year three times, the forward teased on Sunday: "I can’t say about my future but you’ll know very soon… it’s almost decided" over his future.

His season ends this Saturday at home to Metz when Mauricio Pochettino's team lift the Ligue 1 trophy.
