Kylian Mbappe gives hint on future whilst acknowledging Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani's PSG record

Kylian Mbappe reached another milestone in his already storied career as he became PSG's all time top-scorer at the age of just 23.

The Frenchman is widely expected to leave the club this summer when he becomes a free agent, with a move to Real Madrid continuing to be speculated.

Seen as the best footballer on the planet, Mbappe would undoubtedly be the biggest player to ever leave as a free agent - once more doing so in his prime years.

Mbappe has scored 156 goals for PSG since joining in 2017 from Monaco, making him joint-second in the club's all-time scoring list - tied with former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

And it's current United striker, Edinson Cavani, who leads him - who had 200 goals in his seven years at the club.

Mbappe has spoken on Cavani's record, and hinted that he expects to leave the club this summer - stating the want to "leave a trace in people's memories."

Mbappe told Le Parisian: "I always made sure to be number one, so we have to keep trying to get him. There are still matches. But it’s not obsession either.

"The obsession is still the titles. It is the Champions League, Ligue 1, this tenth title which would be important for the club. And if I stay focused, I’ll still score goals.

"Being the top scorer in the history of PSG, you can’t spit on it. We will see what will happen. I’m not first, I’m only second.

"But we have to continue because it has always been my goal to leave a trace in people’s memories."

Real Madrid are the overwhelming favourites to sign Kylian Mbappe once he becomes a free agent on July 1.

Cavani, meanwhile, will also became a free agent this summer and will almost certainly leave the club, after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
