Kyle Walker threatened to 'knock out' Neal Maupay as lip reader reveals all over Man City star’s bust-up

A lip reader reckons they have figured out exactly what caused Kyle Walker to lose the plot with Neal Maupay on Monday night.

The Man City defender lost the rag during Pep Guardiola team's 3-1 victory over Brentford, demanding ref Jarred Gillett and fourth official Stuart Attwell take action after Maupay had whispered something in his ear. The home fans had been taunting the England international after he revealed in an interview that he'd fathered a secret second child with model Lauryn Goodman, effectively ending his marriage.

Now a lip reader claims Walker threatened to knock Maupay out during the Premier League clash and alleges the Frenchman made comments about his kids. Forensic lip reader Jeremy Freeman told the Daily Mail how the exchange went based on his expertise, starting with a fuming Walker approaching the fourth official before taking his complaints to the ref, with Maupay denying any wrongdoing.

This is what the expert believes was said. Walker: "I'm gonna knock him (Maupay) out." Atwell: "Shush."

Walker then said "wait there" while pointing to the tunnel before making his way to ref Gillett. He then appears to say: "Ref he spoke about my kids, he spoke about my kids, not once, but twice."

Maupay: "I didn't. It's okay." Gillett: "Let's deal with it at the end. 'Now, now, just calm down, listen to me... think about it, think about it." Maupay: "That's a lie, that's not fair, I promise you now."
