Kwon's Celtic struggle as Yang helps stage slick Bilbao turnaround in James Forrest's testimonial - 5 talking points

After a sloppy start, Celtic produced a very impressive second half display to turn things around in James Forrest's testimonial and beat Athletic Club 3-2.

Less than 90 seconds after Forrest was clapped on to the pitch via guard of honour and gave a speech, Athletic were 1-0 up. A slack pass was punished when Unai Gomez collected possession and rifled a low effort past the helpless ben Siegrist to open the scoring.

Kyogo came close to levelling not too long after. His low strike from inside the box was well struck but Unai Simon showed good reactions and strong wrists to keep it out of the net and get it away from danger. Inaki Williams looked certain to make it 2-0 after yet again, Celtic lost the ball in their own half. The striker was played in and shot across Siegrist, but Cameron Carter-Vickers slid in to block.

When the equaliser came, it was out of nothing. Callum McGregor won possession and the ball broke kindly for Reo Hatate. He stride forwards and sent a precise, passed finished beyond Simon int the corner. Less than a minute later, another Celtic mistake led to another Athletic goal. Tomoki Iwata made a complete mess of an attempted clearance, allowing Iker Muniain to out-muscle him, chop back onto his right foot and bend one beyond Siegrist into the far top corner.

There were ten Celtic changes at half-time. Only Forrest stayed on for a 49th minute ovation when he was subbed after the break. The hosts improved massively anyway and a nice bit of play five minutes after the hour saw Matt O'Riley slipped in Alexandro Bernabei, who slotted home for 2-2. Four minutes later, the turnaround was complete as David Turnbull steered Oh's cutback high into the net.
