Kris Boyd goads 'moaning' Hibs fans as Rangers hero looks to have last word on Ibrox ticket row

Rangers hero Kris Boyd has taken a cheeky dig at Hibs after the club were finally handed their away allocation for the revamped Ibrox Stadium.

The Light Blues haven't been able to play in front of a full capacity Ibrox since last May with Hampden Park used as a temporary home in the early part of the season and only the front of the Copland Road Stand opened for last week's Premier Sports Cup clash against Dundee. But on Thursday, Rangers revealed they will finally fully reopen Ibrox after being given the safety all clear for the Copland Road rear for Sunday's Scottish Premiership clash.

But the delay in announcing the decision sparked an angry response from Hibs fans - with Easter Road chiefs branding the situation "frustrating" as they confirmed their allocation. But Boyd wasn't having any of it. Discussing Rangers' clash with David Gray's and the return of a capacity crowd in Govan, he grasped his chance to take a swipe at their rivals. He told Sky Sports: “From Rangers’ point of view, they’re back home in front of a full stadium. And maybe the Hibs fans will stop moaning – they can get tickets now.”
