Kobbie Mainoo to start vs Newcastle and two other changes as Manchester United fans choose team

Manchester United supporters are calling for three changes to their side's line-up against Newcastle on Saturday night (8pm) - including a return for Academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo.

Mainoo oozed class on his Premier League debut against Everton in a 3-0 victory. However, the young midfielder was dropped for the midweek Champions League draw with Galatasaray as Erik ten Hag instead opted for added experience in the shape of Fiorentina loanee Sofyan Amrabat.

Back in domestic action, 18-year-old Mainoo is in contention to start against the Magpies at St. James' Park as Ten Hag mulls over other possible tweaks. Here's how our readers want United to line up.

Andre Onana's errors proved costly against Galatasaray in Europe on Wednesday night. However, the Cameroon goalkeeper has been in good Premier League form, keeping three straight clean sheets.

The first change that United supporters want to see comes at centre-back with Raphael Varane tipped to replace Victor Lindelof. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw have been chosen as their full-backs with Harry Maguire - who has started the last six top-flight matches - keeping hold of the other defensive position.

Mainoo was a shining light for United in their 3-0 win at Everton and it was surprising to see him omitted for the Galatasaray match. Of course, there was some logic behind that decision given the environment United played in, but the Stockport-born starlet is being backed to step up once again for this one.

The third and final alteration comes in attacking quarters. Marcus Rashford has served a one-match European ban and will be available for selection when domestic matters
