Kirstie Allsopp has 'broken no law' and slams 'false allegation' after social services contacted

Kirstie Allsopp has revealed that social services reached out to her after she shared a social media post about letting her teenage son travel around Europe with a friend.

The Location, Location, Location star told her followers on X that she was "so proud" of her son Oscar, 15, after he spent a three week trip inter-railing around the continent with a 16-year-old pal.

She said despite missing spending the summer with him, "my loss is nothing compared to his gain", adding: "If we're afraid our children will also be afraid, if we let go, they will fly."

"I just felt sick absolutely sick. Then I was cross. I was very, very cross," she told the paper. "It was just so extraordinary. I was in a parallel universe where they were actually taking this seriously."

Defending her choice to let her son travel, she said: "I have broken no law and nothing about allowing my child to travel around Europe is neglectful."

Kirstie said she was not told how the referral was made or who made it. She said the social
