Kieran Tierney headlines 6 man Arsenal ditch list as ambitious Arteta detonates his bomb squad

Kieran Tierney's days at Arsenal are numbered, with the Scotland star reportedly one of six first team players who are expected to be shown the exit door at the Emirates next summer.

The 26-year-old has been plagued with injuries since swapping Celtic for Arsenal in the summer of 2019, and after falling out of favour with boss Mikel Arteta, joined up with Real Sociedad on a season-long loan at the start of the season. Niggling problems have restricted Tierney to just 17 outings in all competitions, although he did return to action to play 30 mins in Sociedad's penalty shootout defeat to Mallorca in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.

And according to The Athletic's David Ornstein, the Gooners will be looking to move the defender on when he returns to North London at the end of his loan spell. In a Q&A session with subscribers, transfer guru Ornstein went into detail about the potential departures at the Emirates next summer, with England international goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and homegrown talent Emile Smith-Rowe also among the six players named who are likely to seek a move elsewhere for more opportunities.

Ornstein also reports that Arteta and his recruitment team are planning a busy window of incomings next summer, with Sociedad playmaker Martin Zubimendi and Sporting Lison's goal machine Viktor Gyokeres believed to be on their radar.

But in regards to Tierney, Ornstein offered his assessment of why he thinks the former Celtic star will be sold but also reckons other clubs in the Premier League will be interested in the full back's services. He said: "I think his time at Arsenal has come to an end.

"I have never doubted Tierney’s talent. He is a fantastic, old school left back. But that is not what Arsenal need
