Kieran Foran signs two-year deal with the Gold Coast Titans

The Gold Coast Titans have confirmed the signing of Manly Sea Eagles playmaker Kieran Foran who has penned a two-year deal from the start of 2023.

The worst kept secret is finally out of the bag. Manly coach Des Hasler has been batting away the rumours for the last couple of days. But now a switch to the Gold Coast has officially been confirmed.

Foran will see out the rest of this season before making the switch. It is a deal that keeps everyone happy. Foran gets the security of a two-year deal, said to be worth $800,000. The Titans get the experienced half they desperately want. While the Sea Eagles can put Josh Schuster in the No.6 jersey from next season.

Gold Coast announced the signing on their official website on Sunday. And coach Justin Holbrook is delighted to have the 31-year-old signed up.

“He is a world class player who has played in big matches and he will help bring along the young halves in our squad, as well as provide immediate impact on the field from next year.

“We know we have some great Gold Coast juniors coming through and Kieran will support that transition over the coming seasons.”

Foran broke the news to his Manly team-mates after the 36-22 win over the Tigers on Saturday. He admits it was emotional and he will be sad to leave the club. However he is also excited by the challenge of playing for the Titans.
