Kickoff details confirmed for Champions Cup quarter-finals

Munster and Leinster will both play their Heineken Champions Cup quarter-finals on Saturday 7 May, after the EPCR confirmed details of the last-eight ties.

The pair are the only Irish provinces left in the competition, with Leinster's win over Connacht securing their place in the quarters, while Ulster were denied a meeting with Munster when they were beaten by defending champions Toulouse.

Munster's meeting with the French side will be the first game of quarter-final weekend, with the pair set to meet at 3pm at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday 7 May.

While Munster officially have home advantage for the game, they were unable to play the match at Thomond Park due to the Ed Sheeran concerts taking place at the stadium on the Thursday and Friday of that week, while Musgrave Park's capacity doesn't meet EPCR requirements.

Later that evening at 5.30pm, Leinster will be away to the Leicester Tigers at Welford Road, in what will be a repeat of the 2009 final.

At the same time, Ronan O'Gara's La Rochelle will be at home to fellow French side Montpellier, with Racing 92 and Sale Sharks meeting in Paris on Sunday 8 May at 3pm.

Should Munster and Leinster both win, they would face each other in the semi-finals, with Munster's better pool stage record meaning they would officially be the 'home' team.

A semi-final between Munster and Leicester would take place in England, while a last four meeting of Leinster and Toulouse would be fixed for Dublin.
