Four points from two games across the Easter weekend has offered fresh positivity for Bristol City but they’re still on course for a disappointing bottom-half Championship finish. 

There have been bright points but Robins fans will have been hoping to see more progress made in what is Nigel Pearson’s first full season at the helm.

The experienced coach has made it no secret that he sees this as a long-term project and making the most of transfer windows will clearly be key to that.

That doesn’t just mean new signings either and offloading players – on loan, via player sales, or at the end of their contracts – will be a vital part of building the South West club up.
