KFC launches new supermarket-style meal deal - and it's a “game-changer”

American chicken shop KFC has just launched a brand new meal deal competing with the likes of popular supermarkets. The bargain lunchtime deal launched on Monday (March 18) seeing foodies incorporate the colonel’s iconic original recipe chicken into their midday meal.

For just over £5 fast-food fans can get their hands on the convenient new lunchtime offer until 3pm on weekdays.

As part of the offer, KFC diners can choose an iconic, flavoursome KFC main such as a crispy Kentucky Mayo Twister Wrap or a hot and juicy Fillet Burger, accompanied by Walkers MAX crisps or a chewy Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie, and paired with a drink of their choice.

The popular fast-food chain KFC launched the new money-saving deal following research that revealed of those who buy lunch out at least once a week, over a third of people buy a meal deal most of the time.

When it comes to meal deal options, 32% are looking for more hot food options which is why the Kentucky fried chicken joint has created a supermarket-style meal deal for just £5.49 - similarly priced to the likes of Tesco.

Tesco has arguably one of the most popular meal deals offering a main, snack and drink costing shoppers upwards of £5.50 and less than £5 for those with a clubcard.

Announcing the new offer on Instagram, KFC said: “Turns out you can get Walkers Max crisps with your Twister Wrap for lunch now. We trade in only elite levels of Meal Deal.”
