Kevin Owens' one-word tweet to fan who criticised his Rey Mysterio tribute

The stars are lining-up to pay tribute to Rey Mysterio ahead of his twentieth anniversary, but Kevin Owen’s tribute didn’t go down too well with one fan.

This coming week, WWE will celebrate twenty years since Rey Mysterio made his WWE debut during the Monday Night Raw episode from Madison Square Garden.

The milestone has seen a slew of WWE Superstars paying homage to the WWE legend, including Kevin Owens, who posted a photo on Twitter of him shaking the hand of the master of the 619.

One of my absolute favourite pictures from my 22 year career. https://t.co/uxRkwXPxq2 pic.twitter.com/SkxHTZvEPa

The image which Owens described as ‘One of my absolute favourite pictures from my 22 year career’, went down with the majority of KO’s followers, however, it did manage to upset one wrestling grinch.

Twitter user @simshine95 decided to call Owens out on the image and stated that situations like this are why ‘heels today have no credibility’ and suggested AEW star MJF should teach Owens how to be a heel.

Bitch. https://t.co/ni9Gfd0tgB

Owens clearly took exception to the opinion of said Twitter user, because the 38-year-old replied to the account by quote tweeting his post by simply calling him ‘b*tch.’

The former Universal Champion recently shared the ring with Rey Mysterio, teaming with Alpha Academy in tag team action against Rey, Dominik and Owens most recent rival Ezekiel.

Owens returned from a brief injury hiatus this past week on Raw, where he hosted an edition of the KO Show with guest Riddle. Before his lay-off he had been scheduled for a match with either Ezekiel or one of his ‘brothers’ Elias or Elrod, and it’s a bout that could still take place – possibly as part of SummerSlam later this month.
