Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier: DC & Bones' 'coldest & realest' exchange in UFC history

Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier shared a rivalry in the UFC for over a decade, and it was on full display during their pre-fight interview for the rematch.

The rivalry between Jones and Cormier was one of the biggest in the UFC, with the duo frequently trading insults and sharing the Octagon twice.

With both fighters vying for the light heavyweight title, they first shared the Octagon back in 2015. Jones was defending his title for the eighth time, while it was Cormier’s first shot at winning a belt.

The build up to the fight was typically dramatic, with Jones making death threats to Cormier, who promised to spit in Jones’ face. During their face-off, the pair started a brawl at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

But when it came to fight night, there was a clear winner, with ‘Bones’ putting on a dominant display across five rounds to persuade the judges to award him the victory.

Two years later and the rematch was booked, and this time Cormier was the one holding the light heavyweight belt.

The pair’s hatred for one another was put on full display once again, and they shared a heated pre-fight interview which has gone down as one of the best in UFC history.

As they both sat down to speak, Cormier said: “I’ll be trying to rip your head off every second of that fight.

“I know you like to sit there on your high horse, but I’m telling you right now – this is my life and I’m willing to die to beat you.
