Kevin Nisbet to Aberdeen transfer door opened as Millwall boss admits players will leave 'for their own agendas'

Millwall boss Neil Harris admits he expects players to leave the New Den before the transfer window closes as Aberdeen look to sign him.

The 27-year-old Scotland former Hibs man missed the Lions 4-3 defeat at Bristol City at the weekend due to illness and has been unable to train this week. Millwall are short on striking options with Tom Bradshaw and Macaulay Langstaff the only senior attacking players but Harris conceded “it’s about players as well – what their needs are” in response to the prospect of Nisbet leaving.

Record Sport told how Dons gaffer Jimmy Thelin is keen to sign Nisbet and Harris - who binned the striker from his squad towards the end of last season due to disciplinary reasons - was quizzed on it by the South London Press. And he said: “As always, it’s not just about Millwall Football Club, it’s about players as well – what their needs are. Yes, we’re very light on players. Kevin wasn’t with us on the weekend due to illness. I’m not sure if he will be with us this week. We have to get on with it. There has to be different agendas in the game.

“Some players settle, some don’t. I said back in May that naturally, over the course of a transfer window, there will be players coming in the building and players who want to leave for various reasons. I don’t expect that to be any different between now and August 30. I expect and hope there will be players in the building. I do expect one or two to leave the building for their own agendas.”
