Kevin Magnussen's 2018 Singapore lap record looks untroubled as new F1 cars struggle
Today, the Singapore Grand Prix returns for its 13th running as the Formula 1 Circus lines up at the Marina Bay street circuit. Yesterday's qualifying delivered plenty of drama and shocking moments, but we're expecting even more in the race.
Of course, the GP is not the most exciting on the calendar, but it is by far the most spectacular as 20 of the world's fastest sports cars glimmer and shine under 1 600 floodlights. And yes, even the sparks from the titanium plates underneath the cars scraping on the track look at their best.
While we wait for the race to get underway, a pertinent question needs answering: will we see someone post a faster race lap record than Kevin Magnussen's 1:41.905 set in 2018?
