Kent Women's all-rounder Alice Davidson-Richards makes England Test debut at Taunton against South Africa Women

All-rounder Alice Davidson-Richards has become the 32nd cricketer to represent Kent Women and also play a Women’s Test for England.

The 28-year-old was presented with her debut Test cap before play started on day one of their match against South Africa Women on Monday at Taunton.

She joins a prestigious list of Kent Women players who have donned the Three Lions at Women’s Test level.

She has 128 appearances to date for the Horses in a county career that began more than a decade ago, and she has so far scored 1,793 runs and taken 116 wickets for Kent in T20 and One-Day cricket.

Kent Men’s head coach Matt Walker said on Twitter: “Congratulations Alice and all the very best of luck.”

The right-hander, born in Tunbridge Wells, already has five Women's IT20s and one Women's ODI appearance for England in her career to her name after making her international debut in 2017.
