Kent Senior Cup first round draw: Margate v Whitstable Town, Dartford v Ramsgate, Sheppey United v Sittingbourne, Herne Bay v Faversham Town, Deal Town v Chatham Town

Two managers will face their former clubs in the opening weeks of the season in the Kent Senior Cup.

The draw for the first round has been released with two eye-catching ties.

New Margate boss Jamie Coyle will come up against Whitstable Town, the team he left in May, at Hartsdown Park.

Former Dartford manager Ady Pennock will have a swift return to Princes Park as his new club Ramsgate have been handed an away draw with Ben Greenhalgh’s men.

There’s a Swale derby at Holm Park as Sheppey United host Sittingbourne while two more rivals go head-to-head as Herne Bay entertain Faversham Town at Winch’s Field.

Welling United will travel to Cray Valley, Ashford host Sevenoaks and Deal are at home to Chatham. Cray Wanderers await the winners of Erith Town versus Punjab United, who meet in the sole preliminary round tie.

Byes have been given to Gillingham, Charlton, Bromley, Ebbsfleet, Folkestone, Tonbridge, Dover and holders Maidstone.

First round matches are due to take place by September 8.
