Kenny Miller gets the Celtic calculator out to show Rangers have gone 'toe to toe' with Ange during Beale era

Rangers fan favourite Kenny Miller reckons that Michael Beale has proven he can go "toe to toe" with Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou.

And the striker turned pundit pulled out his calculator and tallied up the Scottish Premiership points tally since Beale stepping into the Ibrox hot seat to prove it. Celtic have been relentless in their pursuit of silverware this season with the Viaplay Cup and Scottish Premiership title already safely tucked away in the trophy cabinet - with a Scottish Cup Final and Inverness Caley Thistle standing in the way of a Treble.

In contrast, Rangers fans have been left disappointed during a trophyless season while Beale weighs up a major summer rebuild. But after a convincing 3-1 win over Hibs at Easter Road, Miller was quick to point out the difference in league points picked up since the Londoner took over from Gio van Bronckhorst.

Since Beale took charge, the Light Blues have picked up 55 points in the league. Champions Celtic have picked up 54 since Beale's arrival in Glasgow on their way to claiming the Scottish title.

Miller had done the maths when he arrived on Sportscene. Asked about the impact of seeing off Lee Johnson's side, Miller said: "What it means is that Rangers are on track to finish the season on some level of a high.

"There was two defeats pre-split against Aberdeen in the league fixture and to Celtic in the semi-final. Well, they have bounced back by avenging that defeat to Aberdeen and with a fantastic win over Celtic last week.
