Kemar Roofe laughs off Rangers protests as striker responds with tennis ball quip

Kemar Roofe has played down the actions of sections of the Rangers support during Sunday's Premiership victory over Dundee.

Several objects were thrown onto the pitch from the away end in a string of protests at Dens Park in a game marred with disruptions.

The Ibrox faithful are furious about the decision for the club to go ahead in announcing their participation in the Sydney Super Cup in November, which would involve a first overseas clash with arch-rivals Celtic.

Roofe set up Aaron Ramsey for his first Rangers goal within a minute of coming on as a second half substitute to cancel out Christie Elliott's early strike. Before Connor Goldson slammed home a 86th minute winner in the City of Discovery.

And now the 29-year-old has taken to Instagram to joke about the off-field affairs.

He wrote: "Going into the international break with 3 points, a tennis ball and toilet roll."

He then added several emojis including a fist pump, a laughing face and a blue love heart.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst' s side have several players away on international duty as the Premiership takes a break before a crunch encounter with Celtic on April 3.
