Keith Rossiter to take over as Wexford hurling manager
Keith Rossiter will succeed Darragh Egan as Wexford senior hurling manager.
The Oulart-The Ballagh man, who has been in charge of the county's Under-20 hurlers for the past two seasons and guided the team to successive Leinster finals, will be ratified in the role on a three-year term later this month.
Rossiter represented Wexford for more than a decade and was a member of the 2004 Leinster-winning squad, and has previously served as a selector for both Davy Fitzgerald and Egan, who departed after two seasons in charge.
The 2023 season proved to be a struggle for the Model County, winning just one league match and escaping relegation to the Joe McDonagh Cup by the skin of their teeth.
The shock defeat to Westmeath in the Leinster Championship a low point as they finished fourth in the group stages, completing their campaign with a spirited win over a Kilkenny side already assured of a place in the provincial final, Egan’s final game at the helm.
