"Keeping tabs on him": Journo drops exciting transfer claim that'll have Spurs buzzing - opinion

Tottenham Hotspur are indeed “keeping tabs” on former midfielder Christian Eriksen ahead of a potential return to the club this summer…

That’s according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, who delivered a recent – and exciting – claim to GIVEMESPORT about Spurs’ interest in their ex-playmaker with less than a few months until his six-month contract expires at Brentford.

Eriksen has quickly emerged as a standout star for the Bees in the Premier League this season, earning the team’s highest average WhoScored rating at 7.41, which is clear of leading goalscorer Ivan Toney (7.29).

From only six appearances, in which five have been starts, the Danish maestro has delivered three direct goal contributions and also leads the way for chances created, averaging 1.7 key passes per game – a feat that would see him rank joint-second behind Heung-min Son in the current Spurs side.

Now valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, Eriksen could
