Kate Garraway taken aback by Good Morning Britain start after admitting 'dramas' at home
Kate Garraway was left taken aback as the latest edition of Good Morning Britain started on Thursday (May 5). The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV news programme for the first of her usual twice-weekly slot where she was joined by Adil Ray.
As the show got underway this morning and the pair welcomed viewers to the show, Kate remarked: "It was my birthday yesterday," to which Adil cheekily replied: "I wasn't going to talk about that."
"I'm only joking," the 48-year-old TV presenter quickly added before the sounds of Stevie Wonder's classic Happy Birthday started to ring out in the ITV studio and a collection of giant balloons appeared on the screen behind her.

Her co-host had been talking about Real Madrid's Champions League celebrations after beating Man City on Wednesday night by asking her: "Were you celebrating recently?" as she responded, she added: "I don't feel like it's happened really as we've had various dramas at home."
But as her co-stars, including Ranvir Singh, wished her many happy returns, albeit belated, Kate saw the display behind her and commented: "Oh look at that! If I'm going to get graphic balloons I'm in!" But Ranvir then joked: "Not real ones though Kate. The budget didn't extend to real ones."
Kate then got another surprise when Adil revealed they also had a cake for Kate, with a member of the GMB crew appearing across the studio floor to give it to her, as Adil quipped: "You have to finish it by the end of the show."
The 55-year-old GMB and Smooth Radio host then smiled: "That is fantastic thank you," and viewers were soon sharing messages on social media to Kate.
