Kate Ferdinand shares first baby update 10 weeks after daughter's birth and details health scare with 'days' apart

Kate Ferdinand has shared her first big update on her baby daughter ten weeks after she was born. The former The Only Way is Essex star has kept a low profile since giving birth to her second child with her former footballer husband Rio Ferdinand.

Kate and Rio announced the arrival of their second child together on Instagram on July 16, revealing they have called their daughter Shae who was born days earlier on July 10. It came after the couple announced earlier this year that they were expanding their family after tying the knot in 2019. The couple share two-year-old son Cree whist Kate is also stepmother to Rio's three children Tate, 14, Lorenz, 16, and Tia, 11.

And the birth of Kate's first daughter comes after the 32-year-old suffered a tragic miscarriage in July last year. At the time of their devastating loss, the reality TV personality shared a black and white photo on Instagram showing herself wearing a hospital gown and explained to her followers how she was admitted to hospital after a routine scan failed to detect her baby's heartbeat.

But in her new update after a healthy pregnancy, Kate has opened up about the concern following Shae's birth that led to the newborn spending days apart from her parents. Posting to her 1,400,000 Instagram followers, Kate shared a number of picture of herself cradling her baby girl and showed the moment she was finally able to pick up her son, Cree, for the first time since giving birth.

She said: "10 weeks of Shae. 10 weeks of being in our little [bubble emoji] getting to know my
