Kapp admits Proteas are not at their best, talks up lethal front-line seam attack
Proteas all-rounder Marizanne Kapp praised South Africa's bowling attack following their Women's World Cup win against England at Bay Oval on Monday.
The Proteas women went three from three in New Zealand as they claimed a three-wicket win against defending champions England in Mount Maunganui.
Kapp, who won Player of the Match, admits the SA women are not at their best with the bat but says Monday's win will give them confidence for the remainder of the tournament.
"For the longest time, our strongest points were the bowling, we know what we have to do when we're in the middle. The reason why we've done well over the last while is because our batting is doing well," Kapp said on Monday.
"We were a bit slow in these last few days and we're not at our best with the bat. Today is the step in the right direction."
Kapp led from the front, taking five for 45 - her first career five-wicket haul - as the Proteas restricted England to 235/9.
Pacer Masabata Klaas got Nat Sciver caught for 16 and then went on to trap England opener Tammy Beaumont lbw for 62 from 97 balls.
Klaas took two for 23 in her eight overs with Ayabonga Khaka returning with figures of 1/59 as England set South Africa what would be their highest run-chase in the World Cup so far.
A half-century from Laura Wolvaardt and a handy 32 from Kapp saw the Proteas seal a nail-biting win to climb second on the World Cup log.

Kapp praised the now-settled Proteas attack and said Klaas' addition adds experience and variety with the ball.
