Kamaru Usman's star power grows as he hangs out with Brazilian football legends

UFC champion Kamaru Usman continues to grow as a superstar after hanging out with the likes of Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos this weekend.

There’s no way of getting around the fact that Kamaru Usman is one of the pound-for-pound best fighters on the planet right now. Whether you like him or hate him, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has been able to tear through just about everyone the UFC has put in his path.

The reigning welterweight champion has beaten the likes of Colby Covington, Gilbert Burns, Jorge Masvidal and Tyron Woodley as he insists on proving time and time again why he could soon be in the greatest of all time discussion.

In addition to his fighting prowess he’s also starting to make waves within the mainstream media. His personality, his brand and his overall image have seen him become one of the most recognisable faces on the UFC roster – and that can only be a good thing as he enters what could be the final few fights of his welterweight stint.

The 170-pounder has hung around with a lot of famous faces and in the last few days, he added a couple more names to the list in the form of World Cup winners Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos.

Usman was present for the Team Ronaldinho vs Team Roberto Carlos charity match that featured some mammoth names from the beautiful game.

It’s almost time for Usman to switch his focus back to training camp ahead of his August 20 collision with Birmingham’s own Leon Edwards.

When the two meet in Salt Lake City, the UFC welterweight championship will be on the line with Usman attempting to keep hold of the belt he’s already been able to successfully defend on five separate occasions.
