Kaizer Chiefs in crisis: Glamour Boys fall to another defeat as Ntseki era struggles for lift-off
Alarm bells are ringing at Kaizer Chiefs.
A 1-0 loss to TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday means the Soweto giants have started the 2023/24 PSL season with just one point from their first three league outings.
Chiefs, now under the mentorship of former Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki, gave another toothless performance that saw them lack any quality in front of goal and in the final third of the field.
In truth, Galaxy could have won by even more goals, but Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Peterson pulled off some impressive saves.
Ironically, it was a Peterson own goal that proved the difference between the sides, though the shot-stopper could do little to prevent the goal.
The result means that Chiefs are languishing down in 13th on the log, already eight points behind Mamelodi Sundowns after three rounds of fixtures.
Galaxy, meanwhile, are undefeated and have already amassed seven points to sit third.
