Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane wary of AmaZulu after MTN8 semi-final draw

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane admits to being wary of AmaZulu after they were drawn against the KwaZulu-Natal outfit in the MTN8 semi-final on Monday evening.

AmaZulu, who are currently in third position on the Premiership standings, have been in hot form under Brandon Truter as they defeated Cape Town City on Saturday for the second time in a space of two weeks.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi have had a stuttering campaign, with only two wins and three defeats in the league as they are holding onto ninth place.

"We all know it's not going to be an easy one (playing AmaZulu). They are doing very well," Zwane told the Chiefs media department.

"They have been winning their league games and have assembled a very good squad with a good coach."

Chiefs entertain AmaZulu this weekend at FNB Stadium in a league encounter, but Zwane knows that in knockout football, teams have a completely different approach.

"These games will be a knockout," he said of the knockout fixture that will be played over home and away legs.

"It depends on how we're going to approach them home and away and how they will respond because we will be playing against them in the league this coming weekend."

Meanwhile, MTN8 holders Mamelodi Sundowns will face Orlando Pirates in the other semi-final.
