Kaiser Chiefs announce Manchester gig for 2026 - and more brilliant bands with upcoming shows

With the bank holiday weekend around the corner, many of us may be preparing to make the most of it as a last-ditch attempt to enjoy what’s left of the summer.

However, just because summer is ending, it doesn’t mean the excitement has to as well. A host of well-known bands and groups have shared details of live shows in Manchester over the next few months, through to early 2026.

The Cribs have announced their first new album in more than five years, ‘Selling A Vibe’, due for release on January 9, 2026. Its lead single, 'Summer Seizures', received its radio airplay debut from Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music earlier this week.

For the three Jarman brothers, The Cribs has always been a heart-on-sleeve endeavour, documenting a realness and honesty, imbued with a raw spirit and a love for pop melodies that winks with a healthy skepticism at a world increasingly weighed down by quantity over quality, and style over substance.

Alongside the new album, the band have announced a headline tour for 2026, including a date at Manchester’s Albert Hall on Saturday, March 21.

Tickets will be on sale here at 10am today (August 22).
