Juventus 'ready to launch' Anthony Martial move and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Juventus are reportedly 'ready to launch' a move for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial as they begin planning for the summer transfer window.

Martial, 27, is a player the Italian giants have been following for several years and is considered to have the perfect profile to play under the management of Massimiliano Allegri. With Juventus' chances of qualifying for European competitions looking unlikely, the former France international could replace current centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic should the striker leave in favour of Champions League football elsewhere.

CalciomercatoWeb are also claiming that United are thinking of mutually terminating the forward's contract this summer to facilitate a transfer. Martial still has another season on the five-and-a-half-year deal signed in January 2019, with the club also having an option of extending the agreement by another year.

A player who reportedly will be returning to Old Trafford this summer is Eric Bailly. Marseille, where the central defender is spending the season on loan, are said to have no intention of making a move permanent, La Provence reports.

They negotiated a €7 million option to buy as part of the loan arrangement. The chances of the stay extending beyond this season seem remote at best. Bailly needs to play eight more matches in Ligue 1 for that option to become an obligation to buy, combined with Marseille qualifying for the Champions League.

The latter is likely, with the club sitting third in the table. But Bailly has played just 11 minutes across their last four league matches, remaining an unused substitute last time out against Montpellier.
