'Just to say...' - Wolves star eases fans' concerns with latest Instagram post

Wolves ace Pedro Neto has eased any fresh concerns of a possible bad injury with his end-of-season Instagram post.

In the final game of the campaign, Bruno Lage’s men fell to defeat against Liverpool at Anfield. However, at one stage an upset looked on the cards, with Neto opening the scoring just three minutes into the match.

Sadly though, the winger had to come off shortly with an injury after he kicked the ball out of play and signalled to the bench that he could play no further part.

While some fans may have been fearing the worst, Neto has provided a positive update on social media. Indeed, he wrote on Instagram: “First of all just to say that everything is fine.”

He also added: “After a long time, what a feeling. Now rest and next season come back with everything to conquer amazing things with this club and [these] amazing fans.”

TIF Thoughts on Pedro Neto and Wolves…

After seeing the 22-year-old leave the pitch early in the club’s final Premier League game of the season, some fans may have worried that he could be set to spend the summer with a fresh injury to overcome. After all, Neto’s most recent campaign has been hugely impacted by a knee injury.

Indeed, according to Transfermarkt, the winger missed 295 days – totalling 31 games for Wolves – due to his most recent fitness issue. Another setback would have been the cruellest way to end a difficult past 12 months.

Fortunately, Neto was able to put those concerns to bed with his statement on social media that ‘everything is fine’. Now he can rest up over the summer and hopefully be fit and ready to go when the new season begins in August.
