Jurgen Klopp makes Manchester United top four prediction ahead of Liverpool fixture

Jurgen Klopp thinks the race to finish in the top four is 'open' for all three of Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal.

United's hopes of securing Champions League football for next season seemed to have ended last weekend. United lost 1-0 to Everton and the manner of the performance was deeply concerning, but every possible result went their way this weekend.

United beat Norwich 3-2 at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon while Tottenham and Arsenal lost to Brighton and Southampton respectively. That means United are now three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with six games remaining.

Ralf Rangnick's side will play Liverpool, Arsenal, Brentford, Brighton, Chelsea and Crystal Palace across that run of games. United will play Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday night and they'll be hoping to at least avoid defeat in that clash.

Klopp discussed the match against United following Liverpool's FA Cup win over Manchester City this weekend. The German delivered his verdict on the race and claimed 'the door is open' for all three teams.

"You won't get the answers you want from me," Klopp told Liverpool's in-house media when asked about a quadruple. "I think a game like today shows it even more how unlikely it is to do something like that.

"We went through now against City, which is incredibly difficult and intense, and in three days we play again against Man United, who with their three points today and the results from Tottenham and Arsenal, the fight for the Champions League, the door is open for all of the three.

"So, they will be on their toes and it is historically not a friendly game."
