Julian Alvarez hijack eyed as Manchester City make transfer decision

The future of Manchester City star Julian Alvarez continues to be subject of speculation after hinting he was unhappy for missing out in big games.

"At Manchester City I feel very good, I played a lot of minutes. But we will see after the Games," he said. "First, if I can, I will take a few days off. Then we will decide. Diego Simeone is thought to have requested for Alvarez, who will be given a five-year contract if an agreement is reached with the reigning champions.

While City's asking price of the forward is unclear, Transfer Markt have valued him at £77million (€90m). He still has four years left on his contract.

Elsewhere, City have agreed to send young defender Tom Galvez out on loan to LASK, according to TEAMtalk. The 19-year-old is currently part of the first-team pre-season squad in the United States but is yet to feature in a game.
