Jude Bellingham red card suspension truth for Real Madrid vs Man City amid 12-game ban fear
Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham was sent off for dissent in Real Madrid's 1-1 draw with Osasuna on Saturday just days before Wednesday's Champions League play-off second-leg with Manchester City.
The England international was shown a straight red card by referee Jose Luis Munuera Monteo in the first-half. Bellingham has insisted the incident was a "communications error", with the decision splitting opinion in the football world.
Bellingham conceded a foul before appearing to use abusive language to Monteo. The referee accused the midfielder of shouting 'f*** you' in his direction in reiteration to the decision.
The red card means Bellingham will be suspended for Madrid but the question on City lips is whether he will be available to play for Los Blancos when they travel to Spain this week.

After Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring in the 15 minute, Madrid went down to 10-men when Monteo sent Bellingham off in the 39th minute. His dismissal left Carlo Ancelotti's men with over 50 minutes of action with one less player and Ante Budimir's penalty saw them drop points.
Barcelona will replace them at the top of La Liga if they beat Rayo Vallecano on Monday while Atletico Madrid sit just one point behind after their draw with Celta Vigo.
