Jota warned over Celtic permanent transfer snub as pundit insists 'money is the only way he is leaving'

Staying at Celtic is Jota's best chance for consistency and trophies claims Peter Grant.

The ex-Hoops player turned radio host made his opinion pretty clear during this evening's Go Radio Football Show.

He was asked his thoughts on the potential of Jota joining the Parkhead side on a permanent basis this summer.

The Portuguese star is currently on loan from Benfica and has became a key man for Ange Postecoglou this campaign.

And now the focus is turning to next season- despite this one not being quite wrapped up yet.

In terms or whether or not Jota should pen a deal with Celtic, Peter Grant reckons the winger would be silly not to as he would struggle to get the praise afforded to him by Hoops fans at any other club.

Grant said: "He [Jota] has got to remember there are not many places who will love him the way he has been loved.

"He has got 60,000 people that sing his name.

"The only way he is leaving is for money. Nothing else.

"He won't get the adulation anywhere else.

"I don't care where he goes, he'll not get the same adulation anywhere. And a lot of them should remember that."
