Jose Mourinho 'wants Jadon Sancho at all costs' and other Manchester United transfer rumours

AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to reunite with Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho in Italy.

MEN Sport understands Sancho is open to leaving United in January should his exile from first-team training continue into the winter. The forward is not involved with current plans at Old Trafford after a public falling out between himself and Erik ten Hag.

The United boss accused Sancho of underperforming in training, a statement which the 23-year-old went on to refute on social media. With the winger currently undergoing individual training at Carrington, there are no signs of the situation between both parties resolving itself soon.

According to Il Romanista, Mourinho is hoping to take advantage of the unrest between his former club and the player. The Portuguese coach is monitoring Sancho's situation with a view to making an offer for him.

Their report adds Sancho has asked for a January move and Mourinho wants a deal to be pushed through 'at all costs'. Elsewhere, United are said to be interested in promising teenage central midfielder Adam Wharton.

Wharton, who is currently on the books at Blackburn Rovers, has been accumulating plenty of admirers thanks to his performances at Ewood Park. According to football journalist Alan Nixon on Patreon, United and Everton are the current clubs battling it out with each other to secure his signature.
