Jose Mourinho could 'hijack' Manchester United deal and more transfer rumours

Roma manager Jose Mourinho could hijack a proposed move from his former club Manchester United to snap-up Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart - according to reports.

Speculation over the 27-year-old striker remains at fever pitch. Guirassy has been in sensational form for Stuttgart this season with 16 goals in the Bundesliga alone from 11 games.

He continues to push Bayern Munich signing Harry Kane all the way in the German charts. Kane, who was on radar for United this summer, has 18 in 12 matches. Over the last few days, Guirassy has emerged as a mooted target for United as they continue to scout the market for additional signings. He could be available for as low as £15million owing to a release clause.

Naturally, that has put several European clubs on red alert and Roma - with Mourinho at the helm - are also tipped to pursue the Guinea international. Interest from there is flagged up via the Cult of Calcio website.

Elsewhere, reports from ESPN indicate David De Gea would be 'open' to joining Newcastle on a free transfer amid proposed interest from the Saudi-backed Magpies. De Gea, 33, remains a free agent.
