Jose Mourinho and Harry Kane's fascinating first discussion at Tottenham in 2019

Harry Kane will go down as one of Tottenham’s greatest ever players.

In fact, the argument could be made that he is the greatest player to ever pull on the lily white strip.

247 goals, complimented by 59 assists is an unbelievable return but, sadly, the fact that he is yet to win a major trophy will always haunt him.

Spurs have gone to great expense to break that trophy hoodoo while Kane has been around, spending millions on transfers and cycling through managers at a rather alarming rate.

However, each and every gaffer that has taken up the hot seat at the Tottenham Stadium has understood the importance of Kane to any hopes they may have.

Jose Mourinho in particular was quick to grasp Kane’s standing in the team and made a point of getting him on side as early as he could in his tenure.
