Jonathan Woodgate has revealed that he’s a ‘huge fan’ of Tottenham boss Antonio Conte and believes he has the credentials to bring success to the club.
The Italian replaced Nuno Espirito Santo in November after the latter oversaw a poor run of results and lacklustre performances.
However, since Conte picked up the reins in north London Spurs’ form has largely been indifferent, but Woodgate is backing the former Inter Milan boss to succeed at Tottenham.
“I’m a huge fan of Antonio Conte, a huge fan. He told Spurs’ official website.
“What he did at Juventus, the three Serie A titles, two Supercoppas, then the Premier League title and FA Cup at Chelsea, the Serie A title again at Inter, he’s also been national manager of Italy.
“He’s a top manager, knows what he wants, and he walks through the door and connects with the fans straight away. They love his passion. He wants to bring success.
“You’ve always got a chance with world-class players like Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son."
Woodgate also hailed the signing of former Juventus star Rodrigo
